Anybody that drives a non tax excempt car. They really get up my goat. Because you pay for your tax you dont own the road.
I hate three things mostly. In order of most hated: 1. When you're on a dual carriage way or a 2-lane motorway and you've got two lorry drivers, with the one behind going 0.5 mph quicker and decides to over-take the one in front. They seem to wait until they can see some cars coming in their mirrors and pull out before you have chance to pass them. And so there you sit for several minutes, with a queue of cars building up behind, wondering why the slower lorry just doesn't momentarily slow to 55 allowing the knob who's overtaking to pull back into the slow lane. I always give 'em the finger. 2. When someone moves into your path in the fast lane and takes 5 to 10 minutes to pass just one car in the middle lane, spending most of the time going exactly the same speed, sometimes even slowing down. I've noticed it's not really the done thing to flash your lights in the UK telling someone to get out of the way. But I do it all the time. It really does wakes some people up, who seem to be sleeping. Really, some are on another planet, and seeing a set of headlights flashing in their rear view mirrors is the best thing for them. Lack of concentration IS the biggest killer on our roads. 3. Folk who permanently drive in the middle lane, when there's absolutely no-one in the slow. I always make a point of returning to the slow lane after passing them, hoping they'll see and wake up and think 'oh yeak, that's the lane I should be in too'.
I forgot the people that sit in yellow boxs, we all miss judge from time to time but some people have blatant disregard for them,, then they look at you funny when you look vexed because they're blocking everyones path, not to mention if the emergency services need to get through
People who believe there us a slow, middle, and fast lane on motorways. The limit is the same in all 3. There is a driving lane, and 2 over taking lanes. It's amazing how many people sit in the far outside lane when the other 2 are empty.
Right a sensible one that REALLY , REALLY , REALLY does my head in and i have famously pulled up alongside a van who did and chucked a banana at the smiling fool , oh and a yoghurt and a half full can of coke which went all over me -- overtaking on a motorway just yards from your turn off then at the very last second braking and shooting up the slip road , its sooo dangerous and loads of people do it - i have seen four people in two accidents killed because of it . The white van man and his mates who i threw the banana at , hit traffic on the slip road straight away , he had just pulled out from behind me , nearly took out a car then realised he had nearly missed his turn off so slammed his brakes on , pulled in front of me causing me to anchor up my 38 ton truck and immediately came to a stop on the slip road and laughed at me , i just reacted and chucked everything to hand in the cab at him - My mate was behind me so witnessed my temporary loss of calm - i haven't lived it down at work yet and it was five years ago
