FOR SALE Westy pieces:

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by agaric, Apr 3, 2016.

  1. EDIT: Can believe I forgot to mention, based in London and can be contacted via the site.

    Hi guys,

Recently swapped my interior to fit around a 3/4 bed. So I have a few original bits for sale:
    • Child hammock - £60: Mint condition
    [IMG]

    • Full width rock & roll bed and foams - £230 - Sale agreed with cav46

    • Sink - £60: Tap sold to Geordie, bowl still available
Very good condition. Just a minor point of surface rust underneath.[IMG] [IMG]

    • Water tank - £30: I would give it a very good clean before using it but has no holes. Just missing the cap.

    More to come....
I think prices are fare but please tell me if you think I'm way off.

    Cheers,
    Jb

  3. Westy tap price please if possible.

    • Cooking unit - £80:
Very good condition (minor spot of rust underneath) and in working order. The cooking unit had been poorly modified by the previous owner so not much can be saved from it. Can include the heat reflector panels if wanted.

    • Table - £60: Sold to Dicky
Very good condition. I also have the mounting piece. You can also have the full cupboard for £10 more.
Again tell me if I'm way off.

    Cheers,
    Jb

  4. Hi agaric
Where about are you based, interested in your full width bed, it is a genuine westy one isn't it?

I don't need it.....but re the bed, are you including the base panel with door, floor piece and the side bits that the hinges bolt to? Plus the little arm rest jobbies and the fitting clamps that bolt it all to the floor? oh and the metal supports that bolt underneath to the base, the metal rail that sits across the top of the under-bed panel & the coach bolts that hold it in? Plus the rear cushion that levels it all up due to the extreme thickness of the seat & back rest foam.

It's a rare & sought after bed that you may regret getting rid of (at least the hinges & metal supports) but the worth is (IMO :)) only in the hinges and hardware. Most peeps would replace the foam (there's a lot of fluids in them after 40 years) and probably incorporate the hardware into new panels.

Is it all worth 230 quid?, maybe to the right person...good luck with the sale :D

BTW, for anyone looking, you can make this bed any width you want. It's just the base boards that determine the width. The most comfortable nights sleep you'll get due to the foam depth of 5 inches on the seat & 4 on the over engine cushion.

edit, the base and back rest boards have metal brackets underneath the seat covers. These are vital for providing strength for bolting in the hinges as they have captive machine screw nuts that the hinge screws bolt into. Don't bin the base boards without stripping off the brackets...;)

  8. I don't mind posting the smaller item at buyer expenses.

    Sent you a message

Bed is orignal yes (can take a picture of the plate if you want).
And yes the bed is coming with everything listed by @theBusmonkey (minus a 5mm bolt that didn't survive the disassembling. I would change a couple screws thought (

Will test that and confirm. It wasn't mounted on the bus before.
