Westy child cab bunk?

  1. I would like to fit a childs bunk in the cab if possible. Already have brackets in my 77 westy but all the ones from various suppliers that I have found state that you need to use their brackets. I dont particularly want to drill more holes and have more brackets, just want some poles to fit and th hammock. Has anyone done this already or any recommendations?

Similar story with the tailgate mosquito net.

  2. if you already have the genuine westy brackets fitted in a westy then you will find a genuine westy one fits best ...same as mozzy net ..otherwise lengthen or shorten an aftrarket one

  3. I thought westy original poles and hammock were difficult to get hold of? Also the aftermarket ones apparently have different angles/lengths etc which may make them a complete load of carp with my brackets. Thats why I was trying to get some guidance on what other people have been successful with.

  4. AFAIK the justkampers brackets fit ...years ago befor I found a genuine hammock I bought a JK hammock and I had to cut an inch out the middle to get the to fit ...I can tell you the correct length .? Do you have the oriniginal brackets fitted ?

  5. yes, got the original brackets. Sounds like the JK brackets might work then. I will do some more investigation on that.
