not sure if this is an original item or not,looks like its welded in place and at one time looks like it may have slid in and out etc,was just wondering weather there should be a rubber step on it? tbh its a bit of a pain having it and was maybe thinking of getting frd of it
some had steps activated by the sliding door it may have been oneof those? @Sick Boy has one on his bus.
My van had a small step like that when my old man bought in in 78...I'll see if I can find a picture of it...
Yes I have one on my bus but it doesn't work any more because the sliding support arm can't move due to the presence of the radiator (Subaru conversion). I dont think the step shown, which looks pretty useful to me, is a remnant of an ambulance step. I've just had to buy an aftermarket step as my wife likes a step up.
