Hi All, Does anybody have any recommendations for good sites on restoring Westfalias? There seems to be a lot around on the bigger pieces of interior but I am looking for things like info OG curtain rail systems, 12v electric system, which seals used where, OG headliner installation , thickness of OG foams used, what optional extras were available etc. Exploded diagrams and maybe even scans of factory brochures/manuals/technical specs would be cool? Other than the great wealth of individual topics here, do you have any recommendations for good reference sites or books for that matter.
We have a font of knowledge on here. I have a cracking book at home with all the info you want. I am home in while and will post up a reference to it for you.
I have the books below and a few others.. This book by Vincent Molenaar and Alexander Prinz is excellent for geeky Westfalia M code and spec types, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Transporter-Microbus-Specification-Guide-1967-1979/dp/1861267657 VW camper -The inside Story by David Eccles is also a good read. http://www.amazon.co.uk/VW-Camper-C...70&sr=1-1&keywords=vw camper the inside story Well worth the money.
If you need help with bodywork restoration, then this book by our very own Fletcher Gillet 'Brothernumberone' is par excellence re pictures and unravelling the whole process.. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fletcher-Gillett/e/B00R4ZHEQC
