Westfalia folding table OR parts for for table

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by PeaSoup, May 13, 2012.

  1. Hello.

I'm looking for either a complete folding Westfalia table (Berlin/Campmobile style), or the parts that I can use to make one - specifically the leg and the plate that attaches to the underside of the table top.

Don't mind the condition of the table as will refurbish with new formica and edging.

If you have either a table or parts to make a table then please let me know prices including postage to Oxford.

    Thanks.

  3. Thanks for the reply davidoft - Sadly those are the only bits I have already got.

My van came with those attached to the kitchen unit, but the table itself was missing - and so now I'm trying to get one or get enough parts to make one up!

    Thanks anyway )

  4. You haven't got the little table extension David have you? Obv first dibs to you Nick if you need this bit also...

  5. On the same subject of a Berlin style folding table.

Can anyone please give me the dimensions of the two bits that make up the table top.

Assuming I ever manage to get all the bits I want I'm going to make new table tops, but need to know the correct sizes as would like to get them as authentic as possible.

Also, if someone is measuring, please could you measure the rough position of the centre of the leg mounting plate on the underside of the table top so that I can try and get that in the right place too.

    Thanks.

  7. I've got some spare formica the same as I'm redoing my cupboards with that I'm going to use for my table tops, and typically just ordered some edging off eBay - so Jinkjude feel free to get these bits off davidoft to make up a small table as I don't need those bits.

    Thanks again.

can you get black edging of ebay, thought it was brown or grey. i have a leg(not for sale) but could ask a local engineering company to copy it, if thats of any interest to you?

  9. Yes, found one company on eBay that is doing black t-trim edging: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290586827218

It's not exactly the same as the Westfalia table edging (not quite as thick and "padded"), but was thinking it will be fine for my purposes - am needing it in other places too as re-furbing all my cupboards and kitchen unit!
Is it the proper table edging you have some spare of? If so, how much do you have, and how much do you want for it including delivery to Oxford?

Thank you very much for the offer of trying to get a leg made up. I "think" I may now have found one off a friend of a friend so fingers crossed. JustKampers do sell them if I get very desperate, but don't like the chrome they have them in!

    Thanks again for your help.

it is original yes, i will have a good look at how useable it is, those legs are pretty cheap at jk not worth making one.

  11. Has anyone got the bracket that fits between the table leg and the table top on the swing out westy table? That's the only bit I need.

  12. That is the bit I've really struggled with too.

Have found reproduction legs and other brackets, but that plate has been a nightmare to get hold of.

I've managed to track down a friend of a friend who claims to have a table with a totally broken table top, but where the legs and plate are OK and so fingers crossed I'll be OK now - sorry, not any help to you though.

All I can suggest is keep an eye on eBa - tables in bad condition that you could use for parts come up quite often, but for me one hasn't come up that has been near enough to collect or the buyer willing to ship to me in quite a while.

Or fingers crossed someone on here might be able to help you...

Think only bits I'm after now are the hinges, the sliding bolt that holds the table open, and the clip the keeps the folding piece closed - anyone????
