Please would one of you confirm how these mount onto the wheel arch.
I'm swapping the black Berlin hinges for the grey Continental ones & the two bolts that come through the arch are in a different position.
    That's not the issue.
What is, is that the Conty hinge mount appears to want to sit bang on a rib that runs down the middle of the arch.
Do I flatten this rib or does the hinge mount to one side of it?
Pictures, measurements, etc all welcome. Thanks all.........

  2. Possibly not posted in the best place. Sure there must be at least one westy owner who can help. Btw - hows it going?

LOL, I'm a bit daft when it comes to posting stuff in the correct "bin" but I'd have hoped the title would've been picked up on  (56 hits)

TBH, not been over to the workshop this week. Been putting in a honey production kitchen for a local bee-keeper this week!

Hoping for Thursday/Friday but think we've got out heads around bed box/hinges etc.

I've got serious Propex installation envy from @vanorak 's cradle so it's time to bolt up the knarly bits of steel we've ripped up & mount the box....

  4. I've decided not to bother with an enclosure....working on the premise that if it's watertight, it should be reasonably well protected by the belly pan. I've just taken the case apart and sealed all the flanges with Silicone, replaced all the screws with A4 stainless....going to flat the enamel tomorrow and paint it with this....http://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/stops-rust/leakseal#customer-reviews
should be good to 93 degrees C....Underseal would be just as good
