Family Pie the country fools are off to see that London, camping in the half term. We want to do a show for the kids aged 6&7 Q1 what would be the best show for them( Lion King or the Wizard of OZ seem favourites at the mo)
Q2 where would the cheapest place to get tickets from?

    Cheers

  2. oOOOH tis noisy and busy in that there London Town.

Have a look at lastminute.com for cheap tickets, or if you're not too fussed about what show you see then you can try the half-price ticket booths on Leicester Square the day before (Wizard of Oz and Lion King is really popular though you may get some late returns)

    Have a great time!

  4. Defo try Lastminute or Leciester Square as mentioned. Check Timeout.com for theatre reviews and news of ticket costs and deals. My niece went to see Shrek the musical and loved it!

I'd recommend the lion king, we saw it a couple of years ago & it was fantastic!

Might have to rethink this, well over 200 quid for the four of us, Im only used to the flicks in the sticks at the village hall, £1 adults 50p children and pensioners.

  7. There are lots of other things to do and not all with such expense! You can search for free things to do in London on the net. One good place to look is http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/. You need to get a train ticket to London but this can be from somehwhere like West Hampstead or Clapham, so costs about £2 each in order to get half price entry to London Zoo, Dungeon, Tussauds etc etc...... One ticket will last you all day for several attractions.

There is more info here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/

  8. I'd go down the southbank. Start at the London Eye, checkout the Aquarium, loads of buskers, often something special going on, checkout the Tate, make sandcastles on the beach !
    Cheers
