Welding

  1. Hello. I wonder if anyone could give me some help/advice looking to weld some new panels on to my westy.

Happy re clean joins etc, but having not cut a panel off a truck before I dont want to cut out more than I need to. (was going to say chew)

I need to remove the front end panel and prep for a new one.

Remove all doors. Just for ease of work.

    New door steps both sides

    Rear quarters and bat trays

    Sill under sliding door (outer)

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks :)

  2. Do not remove all panels at the one time , surprisingly ?,as each panel/part gives its neighbour its position( visually at least ,) and more removed = less strength overall, in this case less is more , a.k.a. "if it takes all day to balance your carbs ,then take all day to balance your carbs"Also , take good close up pics of parts to be replaced/removed and write down measurements ,<<you know it makes sense.
