Disconnect any batteries and you'll be golden.

Depending on what your welding on the bed it could be easiest to remove it to avoid grinding and welding sparks ruining your interior.

I would get some scrap steel about the same thickness as whatever you are welding and do some practice welds first. Nothing quite so depressing as either burning big holes or making pigeon poo blobs in a pile on top..

Yes she started as a welder at John Brown's shipyard in Glasgow.. was beaten up by homophobic locals.. not many welding courses that end in a big hug.

Depending on where and how it has broken, are you planning on adding any strengthening or triangulation?

Welding and it's prep is soooo messy that taking out the seat, however difficult, just might be the quick way in the long run. No way I'd grind and weld something inside my bus that I could remove first however time consuming. Fixing one thing while spoiling another makes no sense to me.

Its worth posting a picture of the damage- you may get advice on the best way to fix it.
Also maybe there will be ideas on how to improve the design of the kit of parts you bought when you thought you bought a complete bed..

  19. which supplier?
