WD40 - useful or what!

Does anyone else use it to displace water?
I do, about 5lt a month.

 

The thing I can't get my head around is, no matter how careful I am, why does the thin red straw/tube thing disappear within 30 seconds of getting home, never to be seen again no matter how hard I look. Every xxxxing time! For some reason I have 4 cans of the stuff and no straw!

We spray it on our bait on the hook when we go beachcasting as an extra scent trail...

 

I read once that the film crew of the original Hawaii Five O used to spray the vehicle tyres with WD40 to create the smoky screechy wheel spins that were synonymous with the show... Be an interesting experiment ....

 

If you want smoke (and flames) spray WD 40 on the outside of a corroded electric water pump while its running.
