Can you tell me does waxoyl set, I should have asked the question yesterday before i started using it.
Yes it does. Over a course of time it will set as the solvent in it evaporates and then it forms its wet waxy coat and over a length of time it will become hard and then it isn't so good. I often redo mine every 4-5 years unless l see something and do it before that time.
Thanks for the reply, I checked it today and it is starting to go off. I think i layed it on a bit thick in places, i was worried as i sprayed all behinhd the fire wall and inside around wheel arches and battery trays and thought it was going to be a bit messey putting the engine back in
Only problem I've found with putting it on thick is that it can crack and trap water. There really is a fine art to it but something is better than nothing.
there was no protection at all on the chassis behind the engine so i sprayed it all, inside and out. Thickness was a lack of control
