I don't envy you any of this - I had a firm rule - never buy a bus that needs the roof fixing. You are finding out why + water getting in at the top only goes one direction - downwards to rot everything else from the inside.
I have the roof skin for that corner made up for me, I need to make the strengthens corner which is hard however doable. The rust up their is what rusted out the entire a pillar
Anyone have any idea what the best way to drain the petrol tank is. I think it is about 1/2 to 3/4 full. I am hoping I can save some of the petrol to put in my other car. Now i have the fuel line clamped with the mole grip on the fuel line after the fuel filter.
Take the mole grips off? Add grips tank side of filter. Replace fuel line where you have the grips with one long enough to reach fuel can, or stand fuel can on something. When can is full, tip into car and repeat. This seems so obvious, perhaps I misunderstood your question?
The reason I ask is because sometimes only some of the petrol comes out as this makes a vacuum and then when I disconnect the filler it all comes out and I did not want to spill petrol so I will remove the filler first. I was thinking of doing it this way anyway. Thanks.
bought them from JK https://www.justkampers.com.au/2148...ea-offside-right-vw-t2-bay-1967-1971-rhd.html https://www.justkampers.com.au/214-...ea-nearside-left-vw-t2-bay-1967-1971-rhd.html
