I have to feel for my mate Pat, this is his 23 Window Samba Travelling at 80Km/Hr, the right rear wheel & hub decided to part company & pitched him into the concrete barrier. This was the original "barn find", when he & the family moved to their house about 8 Years ago, there was the usual house stuff along with Pats 56 Beetle, 70 Square Back & the 77 Bay. After a couple of day the old chap down the road wandered over & mentioned that he had an old VW under his house & was Pat interested in having it? Anyway, long story short, he wanted to give it to Pat for nothing but when Pat saw what it was insisted on paying for it (I don't know what he paid but I know it was well below market value). So he has spent the last few years restoring it & now this.
