  1. so many people have asked me about vw camper experience days but not self drive as a lot of these people do not want to drive these old buses just ride in them, so your views, is there a gap in the market just giving people a ride out for 3 hrs for a picnic by the stream with wine and some music???? is there loop holes in insurance by getting people to agree to your terms as running as a non business but just for fun and that they wud ride at own risk???? im in norfolk and dont seem to be anyone offering just rides generally but mainly weddings, proms ect

Would people seriously pay for a ride in an old bus? I dont think you'll get rich quick thats for sure!
All sorts of insurance implications and other legal issues will make it unviable:

    Hire or Reward insurance (£1000s)
    CRB checks
    Much more vigorous MOT
    etc
    etc

  3. Sorry, I can't see how they'd be much of a market for folk who just want to ride in one. They'd be a few of course, but no way enough to make it worthwhile. Anyway, all the fun with campers is driving one.

  4. I looked into setting up a glamping site with late bays instead of tents.

Remove the front seats to add more room - but leave a kitchen, sofa, bed etc in there ..... I think it would work.

The trouble with that is that it would be like glamping, without the "glam".
Those glamping tents are pretty luxurious and big. A camper isnt.

Ah I see. Compared to a tent yes; compared to a glamping experience no.

Would it not be cheaper (and better) to just use nice, big tents? After all, its not as if the buses would get driven?

    Only my opinion of course.

It's a non starter to carry fee paying passengers you need a taxi badge/ taxi insurance/ police checks/ local council stricter taxi tests ect..ect..ect

  11. For a true camper experience, pour oil all over their drive, empty their wallets and send them home on the back of an AA Relay truck :)...

Ps If they're paying, insurance will be an issue.
