  1. So the moment all of us Camper Van owners dread has arrived! The time has come to say goodbye to Rusty and look to the future without her. Trust me this is not a decision i have taken lightly but in moving forward with my life i need to sell up. Its with a heavy heart that this has come to this but i know this isnt the end of the line with my love affair with all things VW.

So lets get down to the nitty gritty and tell you a little about Rusty.

She is a T2 1.8 Twin Carb Bay Window Conversion. She originally started her life as a panel van but was soon transformed in to a Bay Window with a Westfalia interior. She has been nothing but a joy for me to own and drive and has given the past owners just as much pleasure as i have. The previous owner has done an awful lot of work to her and has documented all of the work gone in to her. There is a service history going back to the late 90's and all parts and service history is available as well as some photographic history to go along with it. This is a trend i have continued in the time i have owned her.

    The good bits:

1.8ltr Twin Carb Air Cooled Engine
    Milage - 99700
    Seats 5
    Sleeps 4
    Original Rock n Roll Bed
Poptop Roof with 2 Foldable Bunk Beds
    Rear Fitted Seat Belts
    Cosworth Driver & Passenger Seats
    Stainless Steel Sink
    Large Water Storage Tank
    Cooler Box
    Gas Stove
    Small Folding Table
    Folding Swivel Table
    Under Seat Storage
    Overhead Storage
    Wardrobe
    Tiled Flooring
White Alloys as well as a Spare Wheel & Jack
    Leisure Battery
12 Months M.O.T as of this month

I had her re-sprayed last year and she looks the business and is a real eye catcher due to the combo of a Mother of Pearl top and a Sunburnt jaffa color on the bottom half. A lot of time and effort went on before the re spray and some panels had to be repaired in places.

The interior was re done last year also although this was done by my ex wife and not a professional she has done this to a very high standard.

She has curtains all around her and these are double sided and let even less light in than standard camper curtains.

New tiled flooring in the rear of the van which i did last year. i still have spares if ever replacements are needed.

    The bad bits:

Interior Electrics! This is something i have just not gotten around to looking at. Also i was slightly put off due to the lack of knowledge in this area. It does have a mains supply etc just needs someone with the know how to sort this out.

Cab Door Seals! These i have but i haven't got around to fitting them.

Gear box! On changing from 2nd to 3rd and also back to 3rd gear from 4th gear the revs have to come down for 3rd to be selected. This was an issue highlighted by the previous owner but has never given him nor i any issues whilst driving.

Body Work! As informed she is in very good condition body wise but recently i noticed some corrosion on the drivers side foot well which has left a small hole.

    Price: £11.500 ono

  2. Just to update my Bus is still up for sale but as i have revised the price on eBay i thought i should update my original post above.

I have listed the Bus at £8.000 and looking for bids around this price. Ideally i would like as much as possible but i guess in current times i have to be realistic.

I am happy to let potential buyers view the bus before entering in to negotiations.

Contact me on 07557653461 to ask any questions or arrange a viewing.

Please do not call on blocked numbers as i will not answerer to these.
