Voltmeter gauge

  1. Hi

Can anyone recommend a decent voltmeter for inside the van?

I had a cheap 99p one from eBay but the wires have snapped but it worked well enough to tell me the current charge.

    Im after something more robust.

    Cheers

Get a digi one off of that eBay.

Where is your current (fnarr) one mounted as is imagine you want to match its size and shape?

  3. £10 digital job that fits in the cigarette lighter off ebay.

  4. Isn't it more important to monitor the Amps?

  5. With an alternator, monitoring the charging voltage is enough.

    These are quite robust.

I would buy another 99p one and work out how to fix it down so it doesnt break so fast.

  7. Lovely movements  Old AVOs fetch a fair old price these days.

  8. PS Worth noting that the volt meter is measuring the voltage at the front of the van, after any voltage drops due to antique cabling. It's unlikely to show the true battery voltage.
