I've got the top loading C40L and cannot praise it highly enough. They are not the cheapest refrigeration on the market, but I have to say mine has been great. I did manage to break it (my fault) on installation and used the Head Office near Portsmouth directly as I'm fairly local and the service and attention to detail was superb. They do a postal repair service and I have to say I wouldn't hesitate to use it if necessary. Having said that mine has been in a year now and is fine, so unless I decide to move it and break it again (dhoh) I see no reason to need them again!!
I've looked at these @Colin .They use the Danfoss compressor as do Waeco & Shore-Line. (both good makes & expensive..) Danfoss is the best kit on the market currently so you should have no issues. Low amp consumption & proven reliability! Nice design as well.
Thanks, Reassuring! I was looking at the Waeco CR-40 (?) with the remote compressor but that's just more space to find, the Vitrifigo has it built in which makes it easier for me at least.
Yeah thats right. The benefit is the depth of the cold box is less & you can sit the compressor next to the fridge .It helps if forward/backward space is tight so to speak. If anyone ever has a problem with their compressor fridge I can fix it for them as I used to have a company fixing them full time on yachts in Mallorca. I would be happy to do it for cost of parts only to keep my hand in. I have all the gear in my garage. If I do a few I may be able to negociate a deal as I know they guys at all the major suppliers.
