Were viking pop tops ever fitted to panel van conversions? Im thinking it may be cheaper to sell my westy style pop top and fit a second hand viking roof and beds to mine Than converting my panel van to copy the westy structure
Brilliant what the biggest one they did The roofs are a little how shall i put it bulbous maybe but i do love the amount of space up top
Cheers for the pics dude It looks like the same size hole in the same place as i allready have Thats made the desicion i want one do you have any idea how much they sell for second hand?
Come over to the dark side Para! Normally you need to cut the roof to fit the Viking roof with all the viking bits but I never did with mine and it will go on there with a little thought! The big roof is known as the Spacemaker Super Six (unless you are Jonathon Ross)
Actually if you do find someone your roof will fit on their van better than it fits on yours as they cut a bigger hole than really needed on the viking to fit the extractor hood and all the gubbins! (not me though I hasten to add as I likes mine! plenty of folk dont though!
Ive had both and the Super 6 is taller. That said the slide out bit should be about do-able on the earlier roof. I thought about it but a super 6 came up!
Do it. Super Viking are great - at TLB on the farm the dogs had the R&R bed so Zoe and I just slept in the roof with tons of space left over for bags and other assorted gubbins.
canvas is there but need replacing really, comes with stuts and hinges. its off the van so hard to get a decent photo. I guess it would look like this... http://www.magazineclassifieds.co.uk/search/volksworld/details/299606/1975_Viking_.php PM me your email and I will try and get some pics at the weekend
