I have called off my search for an original Westy cab table as they seem to be as rare as the proverbial hens teeth and I have gone and made myself something nice for less than £20.. I had the idea when I visited the flying boat museum in Pembroke Dock during the summer, alongside all of the fascinating pieces of metal and memorabilia I spotted an old projector table and started a quest. Projector table from car boot sale £5 JustKampers table mounting kit £6 Wardrobe pole and fitting left over from a previous DIY project (call it a fiver to be safe as I wouldn't want to be accused of cheating) A few screws and half an hour of my time later this is what I have I still have the lower shelf left if anyone wants it?
Very nicely done! My bus came with the original front table and I have to tell you, I honestly think yours looks better than mine! It's even a little bit longer, which would be handy. It's a nice place for a small lamp when camping too, by the way.
That's a bostin' idea that, i've been after the middle table too....fat chance, also i want a berlin table for the rear, i'm using a Helsinki at the moment.
Oooooohhhhh great idea. I have been trying to get one of these for cheap for ages. Am sooo copying this ASAP. Top stuff. Mr McGyver Excellent
Fantastic effort. Like your thinking! There will be no cheap projector tables on E Bay for a while now!

Very neat. 8) I made my own fold down table top for the helsinki sink which was missing when we bought ours. Cost, zero, zilch, nadda, nowt.
