did the previous ones use factory bus side cuts ? I was going to take that route but didnt want it to look like a factory bus ... Its not really important that its not unique though... I suppose doing anything original these days is pretty hard since most things have been done before .. I'll just settle for the detail in that case The multi side glass with opening vents would be as cool as a pengiuns pecker, but I would be fabricating forever... then get fed up and flog it ... lol....
I do like your square rear windows, and yes the others used std factory glass I think. I still like the didvided teaser, it loks like you already made the hardest bits.
are you trying to get me strung up... . Ive seen a bay with a split front ... they get some stick... Im on the lookout for a september registered 64 split to restore though... well not restore as such but make real nice body wise and drop a proper motor init with a 5 speed trans, independent front with r+p dropped on its ass, as a daily driver ... but will have to sell everything else first... so its a while off yet.. The plan with the split would be to do a womble and fabricate everything I spent far to much on the bay buying panels that dont fit to well but they do save a bit of time .. even though, they sometimes fraustrated the heck out of me.. Zed, im just wanting to get it done now... im getting quite excited ....... lol
I used the factory bus sides on my panel van conversion, but after cutting the roof off and replacing that there was much of the original sides left
Same as, I've cut in and welded the factory apertures into mine, alot of work considering what I was working with, but I think its worth it. Nice neat fab skills though as per usual going on here
without seeing the pics i would have thought this would look naff , but how wrong am i ..... its a first class job your doing there and i really like it .i can appreciate the skills involved in modifying bodywork and how well you have executed them .. fantastic work
