Dont wish to be a pedant but why would beetles and golfs be parading at a "Van - Jamboree" Is this not a van show.? (Genuine question!)
Don't know mate. There was even a Passat with bird sh!te on it at he other end of the row. If it had a VW badge it was in.
We had a great weekend but though it was expensive at £60 for Mrs B and I for the Saturday afternoon, stop over, and Sunday morning. Didn't partake in the American wrestling (viewing!) and missed the dog show but the bar was decent and the catering was crap. Went a couple of years ago when it was on the Newark showground and it seems to have grown since and would consider it again. End of review. Mr B
£10 each for a day pass on Saturday. Didn't spend much on fuel as it was local. They seemed to put all the VWs in one parking area and everything else in another. This car park had more campers than the show and shine, which if i remember right, only had 3 or 4. Lot of beetles from Scunny and Donny with their clubs. Lots of flat open space to camp up as a group or by yourself. Lots of toilet blocks, not portaloos. Last year I camped and thought that the Sunday was better than the Saturday. I think overall, not bad. Have you been to the event at Eastwood as I'm thinking about that one?
