Is anyone going to this? Has anyone been in the past and used the Campervan Area? I'm thinking about going but not if it's surrounded by drunken louts who might attack the van etc
We go to the vw festival every year, its a family event, its not full of larger louts, all music has to be off by 12 on the camp site and they have showers/toilets and it is actually quite clean. i know the owner who runs it and he brings his own kids, so dont worry about anything happening to yr van Amanda (brucies mrs) lol x
Are your wires crossed one said V-festival and the other said VW-festival. Anyway the Vfestival in Chelmsford is a good weekend out if the weather is good although the camper-van tickets are extortionate £100 is a bit much. O ly wanted to see the stone roses and they were ace last year
I've been probably 6/7 times in the last 10 years, all at Stafford, the campervan fields are well away from the general *******heads campsites and as such the security tend to make sure you're wearing the right colour wristband to get in. I'm giving it a miss this year as the lineup is so poor in my opinion, I only went last year after a 3 year break to see the Stone Roses, and I'd niticed its more a pop festival than the original indie/rock scene it used to host. Last year I increasingly noticed kids of 16ish fresh from their gcses, getting absolutely slaughtered, coked off their heads, puking, *******ing, fighting and generally being *****s. Its not for me or the group I go with anymore, be prepared as its a proper cash cow and it always has been, but it now seems to be going that little bit further to extract as much cash as possible. Lastyear was the first time I'd seen some guy take a dump 30 yards from our tent in daylight, and aside from the very poor lineup this year attracting the idiots Virgin wont be getting my cash. Or maybe I just got too old.
