It is turning into the futuristic view of the scifi writers a country run by the corporations - from a country formed by business in the former of the masons to a country controlled by big business and now run by a business man

  4. Blame the liberals and bankers. Like here the people in the States appear to be fed up of listening to those who have everything say everything must stay the same "it's great for us" its a vote for change.

In the summer I met up with a guy I served with in the navy 25 years ago. Been living in the States for a long time he told me he would vote for Trump. And given the election there were loads of 'normal' people like him who felt the same. We live in interesting times.

  5. I don't think it makes much difference who's in power in the UK or USA, its all controlled behind the scences, I mean everyone shat themselves when Bush was voted in, plus they had an actor as well previously.

  6. How can this have happened! It wasn't supposed to happen ...... all the money's been spent on Clinton.

(Her campaign spent £660 million (probably 666!), Trumps has spent £60 million).

why have the 'little people' not done what they been told??

  10. And they all want to blame someone else. We all buy foreign stuff then moan about jobs going overseas, because we won't pay more for UK made. Hypocracy isn't just the preserve of the politicians.

  12. Regan was probably one of the best liked and loved presidents.
I know some may disagree but you only had to see his state funeral to see the respect and regard his country had for him.

  13. That's now entirely possible. Monsanto springs to mind. Kiss goodbye to the environment - and all the Standing Rock protesters can give up and go home now.

  15. Oh no ... I have an US import fitted with Petronix ... will I break down?

Never said it was, but politicians forget that things are now more transparent and some little people dont like being preached AT.

  17. As we approach Remembrance Day we (politicians and people) seem to have forgotton the results of Nationalism and protectionism and blaming someone else for everything.

  18. I agree , that was not my point though

  19. As someone who once sailed to war I think Remembrance and Politics should be kept separate.
