Tyres

  1. I had to get 4 new tyres today bummer i thought but £198 result for 4 uniroyal tyres 195 65 15, as my old tyres lasted 9 years oh yea 9 years which i thought was amazing :) :) , Ive now checked my golf and need 2 tyres so went back to the dealer who i got my bue tyres from this morning hopeing he would help me out when he asked trye size and brand which is mitchelin 205 55 16 he told me £80 each ??? i nearly passed out looking at at other options now .......

    that's not going to help your MPG or top speed

    Do the Uniroyal have a high enough load index?

    yeah and are they van rated? i went 195/75/15 to get as close as possible.
     
  5. Try www.blackcircles.com they do a variety of tyres and you can choose a local fitting place and they are on quidco

  10. £80 doesn't sound that bad. I pay around that for the Golf's Contis once a year.

    car tyres are usually 4 ply van are 8 ply you can check the load rating on the tyre

  14. Meant to say, you want to look for 215s. That'll make the 205s seem reasonable. Last time I looked they were about £20 more per tyre.
     
  15. my 225/70/15's in a off road tread weren't to bad at £80 a corner

    enough tread to last forever
