FOR SALE Type 4 Standard Exhaust

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by allibus, Jan 18, 2016.

  1. I have decided to part with this. I painted it last summer ready to fit however I got a better offer albeit significantly more expensive .

Anyway, Type 4 exhaust off my 1976 2.0l which will fit 1700 & 1800 engines.

Good condition was new when I brought the van and I used it for about 15oo miles.

Pick up only from Luton, £100. It was difficult to get good pics and I can take more if required.

The welding on the r/h side of the exchanger attachment looks a bit prominent ...has it been recently welded ?

  4. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

Doubt it, Ernst no longer make them.

  6. There are some manufacturer's markings on the front (?) I'll post another pic when I get home. I'm pretty sure this was originally from JK.

  7. So here are the markings, I've had a quick look on tinternet but none appear to reference the manufacturer. although I do now know that it will fit a T25 :)

The welding may not be as good as @Faust 's but it is as manufactured no additional welds anywhere.

If there are no takers here I'll put it on fleybay but I need to get a Westfailia sticker first and double the price :D

  13. now now ;) actually i was thinking of that too. as a bench job to play around with but they're to expensive. mines got a tiny oil leak from behind the fan. I've been told its doable leaving the engine in with out much bother but i can't afford it to be off the road so will have to seek advice/help

  14. nah mines mint...........................................bugger what was that noise?:)

  15. Bump before fleabay listing :)

  16. Sent you a PM I think

  17. What does "bump" mean in the forum?
Do you still have this? I am slowly building up bits that will need to be done soonish and my exhaust is looking a bit sad (lack of garage this year hasn't helped:(), so might be interested but I do live in Scotland...

  18. Bump to the top of the listing. It's standard parlance in most forums if you want to get your post seen again.

  19. Yep, I still have this. My time, and my garage, has been taken up with my kitchen re-fit, house not van :(

The postage to Scotland would probably be as much as the extra cost of a new one, delivered! I'd love to take your money and see the back of it but it's not the best solution for you ;)
