I am building up to engine out to look at the clutch. Anyone advise what clearance is needed at the back ie from the drive so that I can lower the engine down onto the engine dolley and away. I was going to get it up on ramps to take it out but then hopefully getting the van welded (rear valance, corners etc). Can I get the engine back in with the van on axle stands? Cheers
if its just the clucth i would just drop the gearbox but thats just me and i like to be different you will need a good 6' as you will be lying under it and dont want to be squished up against the wall
if its just the clutch ,you can just lower engine and inspect /change with out dragging it out from under the van
