Twin carbs

  1. Hi,
I've had a pair of twin webber 34ict carbs sat in my garage for a while. I have a 1600 tp engine and I'm wondering can the carbs go straight on my bus or do I have to have electric fuel pump and other gadgets?
    .

    Thanks in advance

  2. Assuming you have all the assosiated manifolds and linkages they will go 'straight on' - no need for an electric pump.

Do you know their history? You'll need to make sure they are jetted for a 1600. Anything in the ranges below should be ok.

    Idle jet 55-60
    Main jet 140-150
    Air corrector jet 170
    Emulsion tubes F3/F6
    Needle valve 125-140

They'll need the normal 'tuning' and balancing.

  3. Cheers ginger, they came off my mates 1600 so hopefully the jetting should be fine. I have all the linkages manifolds etc.
I'm getting them fitted by a garage local to me with a rolling road so hopefully it will all be sweet. I just wanted to make sure I've budgeted for the job with no unexpected costs. ;)
