Went to a recording of The Price is Right, back in the 80's. Lad from our group got picked ( they chat to you as you go to your seats to find "suitable " contestants ). He won the show....got luggage, holiday and a huge bed that I doubt would go up the stairs of the tiny terrace he lived in !
We were in the audience of the filming of Taskmaster a couple of years back, when Bob Mortimer and Sally Phillips where on. Was a good free day out, and all the stuff that gets cut out off the final edit was considerably funnier than the actual show..
I was in the audience of a show called The People's Cook Book on one of the food channels a few years ago. But only because Mrs P was one of the contestants! She actually won her round with her recipe for fish head soup cooked by Paul Rankin, beating Anthony Worral Thompson's effort (tee hee).
I've been to a couple ,laugh when prompted ,clap when the sign goes up etc etc.If your near media city ,Salford do a studio tour for a real behind the scenes tour, it's all very tacky and p poor
Went to Limehouse studios to watch early recording of Whose Line Is It Anyway? Other than Clive Anderson, I cant remember who was in it. Punt and Dennis were in the audience though

Went today , have to say it was very enjoyable , celebrities were Gloria Hunniford and Angela Ripon, Cannon & Ball, Rachel Fairburn and Kiri Pritchard-McLean ( stand-up comediennes and podcasters apparently ) and Radzi Chinyanganya and Lindsey Russell ( blue Peter presenters - apparently) Quite entertaining and interesting to see behind the scenes of a tv recording - well worth the journey to and from the epicentre of the uk
