Turnkey engine

Does £450 sound reasonable, up for sale locally to me. It's a 1300tp AB engine with good compression.

 

Sounds cheap but small. End float?

 

No end float. My beetle has a 1300tp and the camper is a 1600tp, but I'd like a spare engine particularly as I use them for weddings. Thinking I could maybe put some 1600 heads on it.

 

what difference will 1600 heads make ?

 

Nothing without pistons.
450 for a complete engine is cheap as chips

 

Mine was £500, but I needed up having an align bore, and .50mm bigger bearings for £200. Still cheap, though.

Sounds like cheap insurance for a wedding hire business ..
Gets you there and back just slowly.

With bigger pistons and cylinders get you there a bit faster.

Full of bridesmaids .. maybe need to ask some to get out and push..
