Well we'd ordered some door cards, R&R bed and had our MG seats reupholstered by @delilah 's and I was going to have them picked up yesterday to save me the 500 mile round trip However due to circumstances beyond anyone's control the van was recalled to the factory and the run cancelled. This left no alternative but to take a last minute day off and get down there to pick them up, I was well grumpy! So I set off yesterday morning only to find a crack in my windscreen, I get even more grumpy, fifty miles down the road I realise my brand new satnav hasn't updated my position one bit since I put it on, bordering on the hacked off now. Swapped out to my old satnav and continued swigging my bottle of water on the way. So, near the end of the M6 I'm bursting for a pee so pulled over into the service station and dashed off. After washing my hands I try a drier which didn't work and moved on to another noticing some grey haired guy watching me out of the corner of my eye, I ignored him and proceeded to dry my hands, two seconds later there's a tap on my shoulder, I turned round to see the grey haired guy stood there, "Taffy?" he said and all of a sudden I recognised him as a good mate from the navy some 31 years ago and not seen nor heard of since. What are the chances of that? A quick chat and exchange of telephone numbers as we were both in a hurry (had an hour on the phone today) and I was off. An hour later I picked up my stuff from Delilah's, I was really impressed with their work, the photos don't come close to doing them justice, the day was getting way better In a hurry to get home I bade them farewell and shot off. In the queue to get back on the A14 I thought I'd pull out the new satnav and give it another go only to realise I'd left it in demo mode, hence no update So it turned out to be an unexpected day to remember
