My go first --- In january 1982 i left work at 2pm to drive the 11 miles back to my house , there was the worst snow storm in history and i did 4 miles in 5 hours , eventually after trying countless detours down lanes etc and having a free whisky and a warm by the fire in a country pub , the police told us to abandon our cars and make our way to the nearest pub where shelter was being offered . i left my car and walked the remaining 7 miles home in a blizzard , that night it went to minus 27 in our area and we had 20 foot high snow drifts , i slept in a house that night with some windows missing under a pile of old carpets . My neighbour came around the next morning with a flask of soup , he thought i must be dead . i will reveal the answer after 8 replies
