  1. I’m just attempting to refit the side trim cover fir the sliding door but it’s proving a challenge,
Is there a knack to get it to fit with the seal??[IMG]
    Thanks in advance

Three or four arms. It much easier with a friend.

Trim on side cover, fit to van.
Have to put front end on first to tuck the tab under the ali fitting. It it a nightmare. If it's a new cover I hope you trial fitted and adjusted it as needed before painting.

I found on my bus that came without a seal so had developed some rust down the gap, that the seal didnt really work and in the end a bead of silicone did a much better job of stopping water going straight into the crevices. Basic silicone , not PU glue ,so it's easy to break loose when working on the track.

There was a way of progressively putting the cover on, pushing it down a bit and then pushing the seal down that worked single handed I seem to remember.

  5. Get a decent new seal that looks something like the original as some I ordered were useless .If I remember I put a load of washing up liquid on to make it slide easier. I may have a couple of seals if you get stuck .

  7. Nice one:thumbsup:
Be thankful you have a microbus conversion
The covers are even harder to put on a panel van conversion .
