Trailer Tyres

  1. Morning all, have a quick tyre pressure question for you...

We have a small camping trailer that is rated at 350 kg maximum gross weight.
The tyre specifies a max tyre pressure of 90 psi and a max load of 345 kgs.
We never carry anything near this weight, and the 90 psi seems excessively high.

What would be an approriate tyre pressure for a load of probably about 200 kgs?

Any thoughts/comments would be muchly appreciated

  2. Remember that 345kg is per tyre, so around the 50psi mark for 200kg.

  4. Its just a case of suck it and see.

Pump them up to 50psi, fill the trailer and see what the tyres look like. If they look a little flat add some more air.
