I know it’s POETS but they’re beginning to get on my wick.

Waited all day for carpet fitters from SCS to come and do a full house fit they turned up two hours late 2pm spent an hour measuring and drawing then told me the carpet wouldn’t fit and went away. I knew they didn’t want to work the moment I rang them at 12.30 and asked why they were 30 minutes late when the company told
Me I would be advised of delays. They spewed out three or four excuses and said they might get there at 2 pm!

Every single job I’ve had booked for Friday ( my only working day off ) seems to get put off by the fitter, gas people, electric people, roofers, bathroom fitters..

. You’d think they’d want the work being self employed maybe they’re earning too much, . . . . ers!

  13. Tried to call a plumber last week - water pouring through the ceiling - just got a recorded message "Sorry, we're eating strawberries on the houseboat at the moment"

I suppose it IS a bit tricky to say "compound mitre saw" when bladdered, let alone to use one

And then there’s those websites that do things like renew your licence or passport and charge extortionate rates for free services and rip people off like my poor old dad. £81 to renew a free licence because he’s not internet savvy. Getting his money back for him now but I want to shout loudly into someone’s face today!
