Remember that paper Trade It, where you could sell your rubbish, a bit like Farcebook Marketplace? What happened to it…?
It was a great read - I think it was sorta south-west based (we didnt get Loot down 'ere) Replaced by the likes of FB marketplace and Gumtree I guess

I bought a two month old complete oak kitchen out of ours for £60, he was storing it for his brother who had it taken out and just wanted shot. Ours was called ‘ The source’!
I was working as a scaffolder at the time, and our boss wouldn’t shut up about his new 20k kitchen he just had installed. I put an ad in the trade it saying, ‘ Free Kitchen, bought by mistake’ and his phone number. The amount of calls he had….
I remember one advert in the north London Loot Empty trophy cabinet, just needs a good clean, never used , offers
If I remember correctly, weren’t there two colours of news paper? Something like a mid week Trade It was all pink for the pages and the very latest weekend Trade It was green for the pages. I used to pour over these for absolutely ages. I also knew exactly where my ‘preferred’ sections were. Cars a thousand pounds or less, cars five hundred pounds or less, motorbikes, car parts, sports equipment ( used to be dead fit ) D.I.Y. Section and second hand tools and equipment. Occasionally I’d be looking at building materials if I’d sailed a bit close to the wind on a price etc etc Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,what was your fave bits ?
