Do you know the paint code bud? if not then get it scanned - take a fuel filler flap or the van to a paint supplier then you'll get the best match

If it's not a standard VW code found for example on the bulkhead you will need to get it matched - try calling a couple of local trade paint suppliers first - I have one near me and if someone has previously painted something in a non standard colour I take the vehicle or a fuel flap to be scanned and then they give you the paint! Hope it helps.
I'm not sure purple would be an original colour, so the paint code on the van might not be correct, possibly on some paperwork for a respray or as said previously, get a paint shop to match it up.
Dont forget to polish a patch back to original colour where they scan it, as blue pigments tend to fade and you end up with new paint that starts off too light and fades even more ....
