Torsion bar/axle repair

Anyone know a good thread or have any advice on how to tackle this?

@lost-en-france ,@poptop2 I think you need to get the old photo albums out your the resident experts on axles, albeit rear ones.

 

You can buy the cone repairs for that area ,along with a bit of chassis repair and your good to go

I was a bit more drastic and cut the axle off...

^^them repairs looks a top job...

 

I know this is an old thread, but does anyone know where who sells the torsion bar cones mentioned by @lhu1281 ?
Haven't seen these on the usual places - looking to repair around the torsion bar where it meets the chassis rail.
