Hi all. Anyone got any tips for getting the tailgate seal to fit properly. I am picking up a new seal this week from Schofields and need to get it to sit properly. Also, the existing one is held in with contact adhesive. What is the best stuff for getting the old glue off.
I use AutoGlym tar remover. My new seal sort of fitted, but seems loose. I put it in with black mastic style sealer. Seems to have worked. That was 3 years ago.
I found that gluing just the two top corners in place was enough. Friction did the rest. No need for lots of adhesive. But that was a good seal that fitted.
