Hi all, new to the scene of campers and this is my first restoration, my bus has got a belly pan fitted and this has kept the rust away all except the last top hat, is it possible to remove and refit the rear tophat without cutting the floor out?
    Any advice would be grateful
    thanks john

  2. Yep, but it's easier if you sacrifice the rear outriggers and cut the whole lot out.

It's doable, got any pictures? The whole thing doesn't usually rot out so its possible to replace the ends as that's all that usually rots and it not to bad to do then :)

  4. yeah pics would help you get a more accurate answer for what you need mate :)

  5. If it's an earlier 'late' van, it will have the rear top hat with the box section between the chassis legs, they rust out a bit worse than plain tophat supports.

hi all, thanks for replies will try to get some photos during the week, the top hat has rusted out along the whole length so all will have to be removed.
