I've got to hand my notice in.

Went for a 2nd interview today and got the job . More money and closer to home . I always worry when making these decisions, but I can't stay where I am any longer.

I don't think my bosses even know I was looking around. Not sure I am looking forward to the reaction! :-

Sometimes a change is all you need.Lets face it you spend half your life at work its best you at least like what you are doing and who you are working with and for. Good luck for the future

i would say good luck but don't gloat - hand in your notice and say it's with regret, even if it isn't, you never know you may one day need to go back cap in hand or need a favour etc....

 

when i changed jobs last year i had to ring my old boss 2 days into his holiday to tell him i was leaving he came back and said i ruined his holiday

 

Enjoy every moment of handing in your notice. l took great delight in telling my last boss l was leaving and I'll leave it at that and say no more on the forum.

And more importantly good luck with the new job and a BIG congratulations on getting a new job.

 

at the end of the day ur just a number they wouldn't think twice if they wanted to get rid of you . good luck in ur new job .
