Im beginning to think that I might have misjudged the usefulness of the Toffee Penny, but thinking of them a purely a confectionary item and not seeing their vast array of uses around the home. Maybe Quality Street should sell a DIY presentation pack?

 

Or use them as blank in a meter ,undo that one BG

 

I will collect all mine up put them in this and send it to you

I will take all the wrappers off first though so they all stick together

I remember if I took the ones I didnt like to school they seemed quite nice after all .

 

Filling pullers when cold ....but nice toffee and always stuck to the roof of your mouth for ages

 

Ohh them rock hard square ones in the old quality street

Then wiping the stuck toffee on the carpet .

 

You could easily blank off 22mm pipework with them

 

My Nan used to give our dog those Bluebird liquorice sweets. Used to get stuck to the roof of her mouth, so she'd spend half an hour jaw chomping and making odd sucking noises. Eventually, my Dad used to stick his finger in her gob to prise it out. Ah, childhood memories...

 

Don’t give him ideas,
