Today's Jolly To Sheerness an unexpected meeting with a sorry looking T25...

  1. It was an early start this morning from Leicester for an 8:00am handover / snagging meeting in Sheerness but all in all it was an uneventful trip.

However this was about to change!

On my way home whilst sitting on the M25 on the aproach to the Dartford tunnel I received a text which made me chuckle...

I chuckled to myself as I paid my £2 at the toll booth and all the way through the tunnel, as soon as I had regained signal after exiting I rang my mate, he answered & I couldn't help but laugh for about a minute before composing myself...

Before you jump on me for laughing, let me give you a bit of background info on my mate...

He's a plater and earns his crust driving cars up and down the country for people & companies, he has driven loads of top class vehicles and even more not so top class sheds and it was only this morning he had delivered a Vanquish to a customer.

So when his boss called to say he's got a camper that needs picking up he didn't quite expect to be driving this little beauty...

He jumped in it and set off for Mansfield, I didn't ask him exactly where he got it from or how far he had managed to get, but when I called he had been driving down the A120 heading for the M11 but about 6 miles from the M11 he had pulled into a rest area to use the facilities & when he came to restart his journey it wouldn't start & he was waiting for the AA...

I decided to divert off the M25 up the M11 and onto the A120 to see if I could lend a hand, oh and take the pee out of him...

When I arrived all I could see was a pair of legs sticking out the back of the bus & my mate stood next to it all sheepish, I had to use the facilities myself & as I returned the AA man appeared with a big hammer in his hand & said give that a try! My mate turned the key and it spluttered into life. Starter had stuck!

we stood a while and had a butchers, it was covered in faded stickers including this one...

    But mostly these...

My mate informed me his boss had bought it for next to nothing and it was going directly to auction, I had a quick butchers inside to see if it had a propex I could nick but all I found was an old kettle...

So with the bus running he set off for the M11 shortly followed by me, I managed to captured some video footage using my screen mount & iPhone, sorry about the background music...

I was sat behind him at the M11 roundabout, again I chuckled as the rear also had quite a few stickers of which a large number said 'FREE SEX', I'm gutted as I didn't notice those at the rest area so didn't get a pick!

We had some fun on the M11 to help pass the time...

Further along I lost him in the traffic but with me still grinning & randomly chuckling at the thought of my mate in the T25 and just as I thought the day had reached the pinnacle I spotted this which nearly made me crash my car...

That must have been the most entertaining trip home ever and although I left home at 5am & not arriving home until 4pm I was so awake...

He did however text me later to say he had managed to get another driver who lived Mansfield way to take it off him in Leicester & that he had to stop for fuel & it wouldn't start again! He text me later which again made me chuckle...
