Photography Day is a day whereby we pay tribute to the incredible art form that is photography. Just think about how important photography is, and it is not easy to see why this date is well-deserved.

There are those personal photos that we all love and cherish, but there are also photos that tell a story. They tell us about significant periods in time or enable us to learn more about the planet. After all a picture is worth one-thousand words.

Sadly the guy at the back will get the sharp, in focus picture that will sell, and all the rest of the folk at the front will get slightly blurry diffraction-limited pictures.

Since photography is something I've enjoyed and worked in for many many years this is a day I would highly recommend.

I like photography. I used to own a few SLR’s and other smaller compacts in the past. We did film development at school which I always enjoyed.
Now digital has come along, and mobile phones, it sort of takes the allure out of it for me. ‘Everyone‘, is a ‘photographer’ now.
I guess it would be the same if everyone owned a camper... ...here’s my 1st digital camera. 06216728-557A-422E-804C-8BC4907F6EF3.jpeg

  5. Photography is a great hobby in retirement I discovered 2 years ago when my grandson started doing GCSE Photography. I got a couple of Canon 1300D with some lenses etc and my grandson has taken and created some amazing artwork and passed the GCSE at grade 9.

I like wildlife photography and even though the 1300D is entry level, the camera is easy to use and learn on and good fun to use.
