But the Tories have just won a landslide election on the back of a populist manifest - so it must be popular with the electorate, otherwise we are going down the road of saying people didn't know what they were voting for/turkeys just voted for Christmas?
Why is it the left can never accept defeat with dignity, we had an election and for whatever reason they lost just accept it
BBC to change its name now . Boris beat Corbyn is a bit bias init . Media got it wrong should be the headlines
Yes, I agree let's move on. But before we do, please let me spell it out for you. Until you have lived in a foreign country with a populist leader, where you don't belong, you won't understand it. I am English, I live in Scotland, I might be coming back to England sooner than I planned. I don't like English populism anymore than I like the Scottish variant, but at least I'll have the right label on me. Ponder on this....When we've Brexited and Boris can't blame the EU for everything he's got wrong, who is he going to pick on next? PS if you look back at Boris' career, he's been blaming the EU for the UKs ills for the best part of 30 years; at least he's consistent.
Look out kids! Here comes Corbyn ready to steal your taxes, eat your children and, if I'm not mistaken, look at Cenotaph in a "funny way"! But that's not true. How about Boris misleading the head of state, flip flopping on policy and ignoring the picture of a sick child? Ah, but look at his lovely floppy hair. He's such a character isn't he?
Maybe we could draw a line under political threads on here for a bit. It is a Classic Vehicle Forum after all
If Corbyn really was "for the many not the few" he would have stepped down immediately. If he's still holding on, I look forward to the first PMQs
The remoaners are well at it. A bloke I know is on about wishing he was the peacock outside his office not knowing what has happened. FFS! He's a thirty something I've glad I've got at me back, but God, can he go on.
I don't think that's true, I haven't seen anyone, anywhere, say people didn't know what they were voting for. I dont think it's true @Barry Haynes that people haven't accepted they lost...no where have I seen that. Plenty of frank discussion about why we lost, but none that doesn't accept the result.
I assume this is satire, but in case it's not, Google picaninies with watermelon smiles, letterboxes etc.
There's no need to spell it out to me, I'm Welsh born n bred, the son of a South Wales militant shop steward - and I'm living in the Tory heartland of rural Buckinghamshire.
