Some albums are defined by a single track, ones that tie the entire album together and will be the banner for the sound it brings, and often the best of these are the title track of the album. Title Track Day is a day to dust off and break out those albums whose artists have nailed it, and placed the most iconic of a collections music right there on the label. Title tracks are, simply put, the song on an album that shares the name of the album itself.

I can think of a few albums that I spent my well-earned money on, where only the title track was worth listening too, but quite a few where the title track stands out.

I'm going for Fog on the Tyne by Lindisfarne.

    This looks good though:

  2. The first one that came to mind was Hotel California The Eagles. But lots of good tracks on there too, so I don’t know if it counts?

  7. Couldn’t agree more. His last collaboration with George Martin of course, after that he worked with Phil Spector and it was downhill all the way :(

  8. Difficult for me as Most of my favourite LPs were named after the band - e.g. Led Zepplin 1, 2 3 etc....and The first LP I bought was The Shadows.

  9. I believe Metallica are working on a cover of "Me Little Stick of Blackpool Rock".
