Packed with nutrients such as Iron, Vitamin A and Calcium, spinach is known for being a healthy part of a balanced diet – but do we eat enough of it? If not, why not try a new recipe on Spinach Day? Sauté it in olive oil and a little bit of garlic – or what about a baby spinach salad with mozzarella cheese, avocado slices and crispy bacon crumbled on top? Or throw a couple of handfuls in a stir-fry and see if you can find it later.
Nope - not going to grow that. A bloke I know did - someone shopped him and he got raided - said it was for personal use - and a couple of friends - that got him 3 months!!
Would you recommend an ericaceous compost for this Snots? And should I grow it in a sunny spot or in the shade?
I love spinach, a dish of sag aloo at my favourite Indian restaurant, or mixed in a stir fry absolutely yummy, still cannot punch holes in mountains or derail trains.
Like a lot of food that’s supposed to be good for us , people only like it if it’s mixed with other more flavour sum goodies . Sorry but raw or cooked it doesn’t taste of anything imo but I wouldnt argue with olive
