This day was created to encourage mindfulness and faith in human rights – in order to encourage equality and diversity across the world, the UN introduced The International Day for Tolerance in 1996. It followed the United Nations Year for Tolerance, which was 1995, in order to observe its teachings annually.

I'm finding myself less and less tolerant as this year goes on, so this day reminder is very timely. I still don't think that I'll be able to tolerate Ant and Dec though.

  9. Perhaps the most stupid ‘day’ ever invented.

This country is in the S@@@ because we are all far too tolerant and understanding. That’s why we are a hotbed for terrorists, that’s why we can have people who commit 200 burglaries and get away with it, that’s why you can’t walk the streets at night in some places, or why tradesmen get their tools stolen from vans or members of certain communities can travel around the country freely ripping off old vulnerable people for bogus work. That’s why we had MPs paying for duck houses and second homes. It’s why people who think they are a bit more important than you get to bowl around the shops without masks on unchallenged. Rudeness and ignorance pervade this country now cos for years we have been told you have to be tolerant and understanding.

what this country needs is a healthy dose of intolerance. Scum bags need to be treated as scum bags and dealt with and ordinary decent people shouldn’t be made to feel bad by do gooders for speaking out.
