To cut, or not to cut?

  1. You should see @swanners for hair styling ideas.
    There's a post here somewhere.

  2. Here we go.

Thank you all for your helpful hair styling hints :)
It does weigh a flipping ton, esp when it gets wet (and if it just gets wet as in out in the rain, I smell a bit like a wet dog!!)

@snotty I do wash it, tho not too frequently as it takes about 24 hrs to dry. It was a lot easier in Spain as would be dry before I went to bed.

I think I shall reserve getting it all cut off for when I can no longer be bothered to spend the hours having it tidied or I think I'm too old for such a style. BTW I don't think I am at the mo incase it's passing anyone's minds :)

@Top Banana Racing I have to say respect to @swanners he had lovely hair and that's a big thing to do to have it all cut off, doing it for charity or not.

  5. Hair can look so good when it's long but it has drawbacks. Weight, being one, annoyingness being another. Dreads bring other variables into the equasion as well. I found having it cut short, liberating, for about a week then, I realise I look just the same as everyone else, which i'm not so why pretend to be so. Mine still grows and i'm in my late 50's so i'm lucky in that respect. It's long'ish now and i'm trying to resist having it cut if only for not to give the barber twenty quid or whatever it is now, every six to eight weeks.
    I feel your pain M.C.

  7. Can you tease it out to a huge afro? or maybe a dreadhawk (I may have just made that up) otherwise just cut it up to where it wasn't annoying. On the other hand you could go for comfort and practicality, cut it all and buy a T4/T5.;)

  8. Just get half a foot lopped and leave the big decisions for later. When I had mine surgically removed I liked it just as much short but I have two options I can live with... pretty damned short or .. leave it and see what it does. I preferred the latter to an extent but I cant imagine going through the 70s reject stage of growing it again and at my advanced years..... Don't have it too short with the dreads or youll look like sideshow Bob
