Sometimes, when I am feeling tired and not at my best I think of some of the amazing things tlb members do for each other and I begin to smile. It isn't just a forum, it's more like a family at times. The help and goodwill shown to others ( who lets face it were complete strangers once ) is amazing. People give up their free time to organise events, help and advise others and send stuff here and there for very little money, or even free most of the time. There are people that travel about collecting and delivering stuff. I also read of so many kind acts, it amazes me. People meet up for the sake of a bit of tin, or a piece of wood/ metal/ piping in the oddest of places, and form friendships. people come to each others houses, meets, even laybys and give each other bits without a thought for the value or rarity. I wonder sometimes if they know the good vibe they spread. I have had so many nice people come to my house that I wouldn't normally have met in everyday life, and made friends with, that it refuels my faith in human kindness. I have passed on and received so many gifts it is hard to believe I only popped on here to ask about where to buy panels for my resto four years ago. You are a good bunch! Well done tlb. That's all!
got to say, I feel exactly the same way! the mk1 golf forum is very much the same and have made some great friends from there and on here too! a simple common interest with perfect (ish) strangers! Its what keeps marks like the t2 alive, if every one wre an a$$ no one would be on here, we'd keep ourselves to our selves and be anti social! That being said, would anyone be interested in a monthly Sheffield meet? this time of year probably a cave meet somewhere? in a multi story carpark or something? want to get out and about in mine more, even during the winter!! well said @poptop2 never a truer word spoken
Totally agree ,met some real good friends on here ,great place ,love the meets as well ,put names to faces then have a few beers in other peoples vans ,great combo
Totally agree with this post - even if it's just that it's the only place where you can get a bit of sympathy when your day is totally screwed by a 4 hour traffic jam - thanks PopTop
Shut up grumpy. You are one of those that help organise so shut it and go blow your woes on some frog or other.
T/E'S Alright, The post is a bit icky, but I woke up this morning feeling quite grumpy, I came on here, read a few threads where nice stuff was going on. I felt lifted by the kindness. I packed a parcel off for a member and wrote that! Can't help myself sometimes
